Modern Pilates classes

We are excited to announce that Modern Pilates Practitioner, Celine Blizard, will be teaching a series of six week courses in this superb exercise form, starting July 4!

These classes are open to people of all ages and fitness levels, ensuring anyone can access this health-enriching exercise.

Blizard’s new Pilates courses will include:
  • A choice of 45 minute classes throughout the day starting as early as 7.15 am right through to 7.15pm!
  • Small class sizes of no more than 5 people, ensuring quality, attentive tuition
  • Goal oriented with weekly take home exercises targeted for each individual

This is a great addition to our existing collection of services here at Blizard’s, where we already offer physiotherapy, sports coaching and fitness testing, massage, and a range of workshops and events such as functional movement classes, running races, duathlons, triathlon advice sessions and so much more.

The classes will help provide you with greater levels of suppleness, and a natural grace and skill that is then reflected in the way you move in every part of your life, increasing confidence levels as a result. Regular practice of Pilates will also help you address your trunk and shoulder stability, the maintenance of the natural alignment and form of the spine, along with encouraging correct muscle recruitment.

Celine’s attention to detail in teaching the Modern Pilates exercises ensures all the focus is on precision of movement rather than the repetitions you may have seen in main-stream classes.

These elements are all integral to our core beliefs here at Blizard’s, as we believe that a healthy mind and body is key to you fulfilling your potential, be it in sport or just generally in life. Pilates is a great way to help you become a stronger, healthier and happier person, and now you can learn how to integrate the exercises into your daily life with our weekly classes from July.

****************************************************************************************************************************************************** It is normal Pilates practice to have one-to-one assessments prior to your class starting to ensure you are properly assessed by our expert practitioner before attending the course in July. In these one to one assessments, Celine will ask about your unique goals for attending the Pilates class, perform a postural analysis and teach you the Baseline Essential Principles of Modern Pilates to allow you to get the best out of your classes from your first session. You will also have quality time to ask Celine any questions about the exercises ahead of the course itself. **

We are pleased to offer FREE one-to-one assessments with Celine*, providing you book before May 31, and complete the assessment before the classes start on July 4.

*The cost of these assessments rises to £20 thereafter
