Sea Eagles
Western Norway supports the world’s largest population of breeding sea eagles with over 2,000 pairs. For many years sea eagles have become accustomed to following fishing boats and taking advantage of free handouts. The white-tailed eagle, also known as the sea eagle or white-tailed sea eagle is a huge bird with broad wings up to 245 cm (over 8 feet) wide. White-tailed eagles became extinct in Britain in the early 1900s but there is now a programme to re-introduce them to the UK. These images are from a recent trip to Norway.
