About

I am a Textile Artist, Designer and Lecturer based in Hampshire.
I studied at the London College of Fashion and obtained my First Class BA (Hons) in Textile Design at Winchester School of Art. Since graduating I have worked in trend forecasting for fashion and interiors and as a freelance textile designer selling print and knit designs in the UK, Europe, Japan and the USA. My designs have sold to companies such as Gap, BHS, The Limited, Marks and Spencer, Gant, Old Navy, Banana Republic and Victoria’s Secret. I have also sold designs to international design houses including Ralph Lauren, Nicole Farhi, Abercrombie and Fitch, Tommy Hilfiger and DKNY.

I started my own business - Drop Dead Gorgeous - in 2003 in which I design, manufacture and sell beautifully made knitted scarves, hats, wrist warmers, cushions, tank tops, and artwork.
These I have sold in shops and galleries in London, Dorset, Wiltshire and Kent as well as locally in Hampshire at the Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market, the Winchester Contemporary Art and Craft Fair and Making Merry Open Studios.

At present I teach AS and A Level Textiles at a local sixth form College which I enjoy very much. Having this job has enabled me to grow in a different direction in my career, enhancing my talents whilst still focussing on the subject I love – textiles.

I completed my MA in Textile design with Distinction in 2014 at Winchester School of Art specialising in Digital print, dyed processes and pleated fabrics.

I am also an Artist in Residence at Studio Shelf in Winchester where I work on my own personal design ideas and projects. I sell my work locally and through private commission.
